Meaningful Places explores the psychological phenomenon of place attachment. To investigate this personal connection to the land each of my subjects was asked to pick a place that meant something to them (where the got married, went on holiday, went to school, etc). Their chosen locations were then incorporated into their photograph.
Contemporary landscape photography looks at man's impact on the land. Meaningful Places takes that idea and turns it on its head, posing the question: what is the land's impact on us?
